SPEARHEAD OF Humanitarian Activities

Sadbhawna Sammelan

In the present context of Indian Society and all over world also there is divisive forces like terrorism, fanaticism and sectarianism, which are challenging the very fabric of the society all over the world. There is a chronic decline of positive forces of unity, brotherhood and goodwill among the people. It appears as if the world is on the brink of extinction. To meet this challenge we require such personalities who are spiritually enlightened and morally strong and incorruptible, infused with the spirit of sacrifice and selfless service required for developing the spirit of goodwill i.e. Sadbhawna among the people, barring aside all the negative forces of casteism and communalism and even narrow nationalism called chauvinism.
Satpal Maharaj imbued with the spirit of social service is pioneering the movement of creating Sadbhawna among the people irrespective of caste, colour and creed by organising Sadbhawna Sammelan all over India and abroad and trying to unifying humanity in the bond of brotherhood. All great masters have said the we are one in Spirit the entire creation is the creation of God and all human beings are the children of one God then what for we are fighting among ourself.
Sadbhawna Sammelans have created a positive force of unity among the people and peaceful atmosphere which is very essential for the allround development of the Society at large. These Sammelans also awaken the spirit that lies dormant in man by the common teachings of all the religions. Sadbhawna Sammelans are also organising the youth to come forward and work selflessly for creating the higher cultural and moral values which are very essential for uplifting the society from the morass of divisive forces. Sadbhawna Sammelans also inculcate the spirit of selfless service and civic sense which is very essential among the people for a clean and healthy society for that we require not only outward cleanliness but inward cleanliness of the negative forces of the mind also.

Mission Education - India & Abroad

Education plays a vital role in the overall development of an individual and the Nation. Although our literacy scale is rising every year but due to lack of holistic approach towards the educational system, today our country is struggling with many social evils like Female feticide, Dowry, Domestic Violence, drugs, economic disparity etc. what is the reason that although we have opened many universities, colleges and institutions of learning but we are not able to produce people like Vivekananda, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Shivaji, Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhi the only reason behind this is the lack of value system in our education i.e. the spiritual value, human value, moral values. Swami Vivekananda says "Education which does not bring out strength of character, a spirit of philanthropy, and the courage of a lion— is it worth of the name?". Therefore we can’t compromise on the quality of education if we want to see India as "Vishwa Guru" in the coming future.
Keeping this farsighted approach Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj started a program called Mission Education to inculcate the values and facilitating education of the underprivileged children of the society.
Education is of no use if we can’t impart values to the students and this is where Mission Education plays its best part. Under this program privileged students are motivated to donate stationery for the underprivileged children, who have difficulty or may not bear the expenses of educational resources. Doing this the privileged students are made to experience two things; first they understand that there is another section of society which is facing difficulty in getting even those resources which are every easily available to them. Second on donating those stationery items a habit of giving and sharing is getting imbibed in them.
The youth brigade who is popularising the Mission Education is visiting the different educational institution explaining the teachers and the students the objective of Mission Education which is slowing and gradually round about 20 states in India and is being appreciated by students and teachers as a very helping tool for the poor and needy children who cannot afford to purchase all the stationery require for completing the class work. Under this program nearly 1 lakh 50 thousand students have been helped all across India, Nepal, Kenya, Maxico and Mauritius have touched hearts of millions.

Protein Revolutionn Through Quinoa

The issue of malnutrition among children is one of major concerns in India. According to a World Bank Report, India probably has the highest number of undernourished child population – children account for 22 percent of India’s burden of disease. This also means a high degree of nursing mothers face the brunt of poverty that is reflected in the poor intake of proper nourishment. The problem is more rampant in rural India and particularly among girls as compared to boys. One out every two children in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Odisha is undernourished. There is evidence that moderate protein-energy malnutrition of long-term duration has serious consequences on cognitive development of a child.
To tackle this India needs to promote cultivation of Quinoa (pronounced Kinwah) – a ‘wonder food’ packed with nutrients and vitamins. Quinoa is a grain, the staple of people living in Peru and Bolivia in South America. This was in fact originally the food of the Incas. It is actually a seed, rich in potassium, magnesium and protein, iron, dietary fibers, Vitamin B-6 content. Quinoa is excellent for vegetarians - a complete protein diet containing all nine essential amino acids. It is also suitable for people with food allergies as it is gluten-free and a great source of riboflavin, which promotes proper energy production within the cells. It is extremely low in calories and has a low GI (Gluten Intolerance), meaning it doesn’t spike up the blood sugar.
Since 2013, Satpal Maharaj has promoted the cultivation and consumption of Quinoa to tackle malnutrition through several forums including arrangements for visit of Peru officials representing FAO (UN) to Uttarakhand, Sikkim and several other states. In addition, he has pursued this matter with the Prime Minister of India, the President of India, Ministry for Agriculture, King of Bhutan, President of Nepal and many other international agencies. Recently, he took up the matter with the Governor of Himachal Pradesh to initiate steps for the cultivation of Quinoa at the Agricultural University in the state.

Alkaline Water

The popularity of alkaline water is growing by the day. Since the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law first approved it in 1965, they have been using alkaline ionised water making Japan one of the healthiest nations on earth. The Japanese have researched on it for about close to fifty years now. The people of Hunza tribe living on the Afghanistan border have the longest lifespan in the world ranging between 120- 140 years on an average. This has been traced to the natural alkaline content in the water they drink. Hunza water helps them lead a healthy life with virtually no cancer, degenerative disease, dental caries or bone decay.
Across the world, drinking alkaline ionized water has been found to improve physical health. It slows down the degenerative process or the aging process. High acidic levels results in dehydration and the premature aging of cells, tissue and organs in our body. The human body has a natural process of getting rid of wastes. Modern lifestyle, packaged foods, adulterants and increase in pollution levels hinders this natural process of cleansing. High levels of acidity damages cells and tissues and this has been proved as one of the main causes for increase in the incidence of cancer patients. To overcome excess of acid content our body draws out calcium from our bones to neutralise it. In fact it has been found that increased fat production in the body can also be on account of increased acid wastes. Alkaline water has been found to be helpful as it promotes the alkalization of the blood and the oxidation reduction potential (ORP). There are a lot of other properties that helps tackling the menace of hyper-tension, skin diseases, stiffness of joints etc.
